At the Cotton Egypt Association (CEA), our aim is to ensure that all items labelled as Egyptian Cotton™ are the real deal. In order to ensure that we can rid the supply chain of falsely labelled goods, we are introducing a revolutionary DNA testing process. Capable of identifying the staple length of a cotton and whether or not it has been grown in the unique climate of Egypt, this DNA test now forms a significant part of our accreditation procedure, reassuring us all about the integrity of Egyptian Cotton™.
Over time, we believe consumers will come to recognise CEA accreditation as a true and trusted hallmark of quality. All accredited manufacturers are strongly encouraged to use the Egyptian Cotton™ logo to build awareness of the singularity of Egyptian Cotton™. Our product is 100% pure Egyptian Cotton™ and we want people to know that.
